Ty Croeso - Access Statement

Ty Croeso has an easy to use website that uses larger print.  We keep our reception area well lit and a pen & paper are always available.  We have a fax machine with the same number as our main telephone.

Ty Croeso is set above the BreconMonmouthshire Canal overlooking Crickhowell.  Although on a hillside, our car park is flat and there is ample, off road parking for guests.  With prior warning we will reserve spaces closest to the entrance.
 
The path to the house, via the signposted reception entrance, includes three steps, the highest of which is 20cm/7”.  There is a 23cm/9”door ledge at the entrance.

An alternative entrance past the fire escape at the back of the house avoids the steps on the path.  There is a 3cm/1”.door ledge.

Our entrance doors are 89cm/35” wide.  It is possible to gain direct entrance to the guest lounge via French doors 100cm/39” where there is a 5cm/2” step into the room.

Inside, the ground floor is level throughout and corridors are well lit.

Our toilets are not wheelchair accessible.

One double room and two single rooms have step in showers.  Other double rooms have over-bath showers.

All our bedrooms are on the first floor accessed by a staircase with handrail.  There are 21 15cm/6” steps.

Bedrooms have remote control TVs.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Staff have Welcome Host Training.

The nearest train station is Abergavenny approximately 7 miles away

Crickhowell is the nearest town, 1 mile, on a bus line between Abergavenny and Brecon.
